#203: Poncho Knitting Pattern

{I can NOT believe I’ve written over 200 knitting patterns!!!}

And I’m still so excited to share them with you!
Introducing… the Valiant Poncho…

If you know me, you know that I love Harry Potter!
This pattern was inspired by the jacket worn by Bathilda Bagshot in the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

I love this knitted poncho!

I made mine like a poncho, so it slips on over your head, and won’t slip off your shoulders ;)

The hood is knitted separately and I didn’t attach it.
I like that the hood is separate.
It gives me the option to wear it, or not.
I usually choose to wear it it’s comfortable and adds extra warmth, like a cowl.
{“Private” side note: my husband says I look like an elf when I wear it {and not like santa’s helper. LOL!} which translates to sexy because he likes Lord of the Rings. Bonus!}

I’m just smitten with this poncho!
{I’ll be knitting another in red for Halloween this year, so I can be Little Red Riding Hood!}

I used about 750 yards of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick.
This is a HUGE project for me!
I’m all about quick and easy projects for my short attention span, but this one was on my bucket list! Check! I can mark that off my list now ;)
