Sometimes altruism can be as “simple” as being truly happy for someone else’s success.
I hadn’t thought of it like this before until someone brought it to my attention that I’m truly happy about someone else’s success. I must have been really happy because he could see my happiness. I exuberated happiness, joy even ;) I like that thought!
I’m glad that he said something to me because I thought that reaction was “normal”. Now, don’t get me wrong, sometimes I do fight that jealous voice. It really depends on the circumstances and my moods. But, in most situations, I’m truly happy for someone else’s success and happiness.
Today I challenge you to be truly, madly, deeply happy for someone else’s success :)
