:) Materials Needed:
Approximately 275-350 yards of a super bulky yarn
I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, Oatmeal
Size 11 {8mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable
Size 13 {9mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable
Size 15 {10mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable
Size 15 {10mm} needles with 24″ {41cm} circular cable
Darning Needle
Stitch Markers
Craft Scissors

{Why so many sizes of needles? It’s a trade “secret”… because we want to increase the size of the sleeve, without increasing the number of stitches :) }

Notes:
-I recommend trying this on several times, so it fits you and your style ;) {You’ll love it even more when you’re done!}
-If you knit the first sleeve using a different number of rows, be sure to make a note, so you can knit the second sleeve the same as the first.

Gauge: 8.5 sts & 11.5 rnds per 4” {10cm} square {knit in the round}

Pattern:
Knit using the magic-loop-method while knitting the first few rounds a little on the tight side.

Using size 11 {8mm} needles with 24″ {41cm} circular cable.

CO 28 STS, split 14 STS per needle, PM, join in the round.

Round 1: *K1, P1*

Rounds 2-30: *K* {As the stitches become looser, you can switch to size 11 {8mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} cable and knit-in-the-round.}

Go ahead and try it on, so you can see if you like the fit of the cuff.

Once it’s long enough to reach the largest part of your forearm, right before your elbow, switch to size size 13 {9mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable and knit for approximately 27 rounds.

Rounds 31-58: *K*

Go ahead and try it on again. ;) {It’s worth it, trust me!}

Place the cuff where you’d like it to be when you’re finished.

When you’ve knitted to your armpit switch to size size 15 {10mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable and knit for 10 rounds.

Rounds 59-68: *K*

Switch to your size 15 {10mm} needles with 24″ {61cm} circular cable and knit flat:
Row 69: Purl 28 STS, INC10 STS {you should have 38 STS on your needle}

Row 70: Knit 38 STS, INC10 STS {you should have 48 STS on your needle}

Row 71: S1KW, K46, S1PW

Row 72: *P*

Repeat rows 71-72, 2 more times, for a total of 6 rows

Row 77: K24, slip 24 STS onto a stitch holder or another cable needle to knit later.

Row 78: *P*

Row 79: S1KW, K46, S1PW

Row 80: *P*

Repeat rows 79-80 18 more times for a total of 38 rows {about 16”, or desired width}
Leave these stitches to be worked later.
You can put them onto a stitch holder or another cable needle.

Slip the 24 STS from your stitch holder / cable needle {from row 77} onto your size 15 {10mm} needles with 24″ {61cm} circular cable or straight needles and repeat rows 69-80+, matching the other side of your work.

Note: The front and back are the same.

Go ahead and try it on again {I warned you ;)}, this is where you’re going to adjust the pattern to fit you perfectly.

You’ll want to knit this so it’s a little tight across the chest and keep in mind that you’ll be knitting for 6 more rows before decreasing for the arms, which is about and 1 1/2-2”.

Once the front and back meet your measurements, lay it out with right sides together.

You should have ended on a purl row on both sides.

With the knit side/front side facing you, slip all 48 STS onto a size 15 {10mm} needles with a 36″ {81cm} cable.

Knit all 48 STS, joining the front and back, still knitting flat.

Purl all 48 STS

Knit and purl the next 4 rows, for a total of 6 rows.

Next row: Using knit STS, BO 10 STS, knit the remaining 38 STS.

Next row: Using purl STS, BO 10 STS, purl the remaining 28 STS.

Switch to size 15 {10mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable:

Next row: Join in the round and knit for the next 10 rounds.

Switch to size 13 {9mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable and knit for the next 28 rounds.

Switch to size 11 {8mm} needles with 16″ {41cm} circular cable and knit for the next 24 rounds.

Switch to size 11 {8mm} needles with 24″ {61cm} circular cable and knit {using the magic-loop-method} tighter for the next 3 rounds.

To match the ribbing on the first sleeve BO in the K1, P1 pattern.
