Seed vs Moss Knit Stitch Video

Music by www.bensound.com

Hi there! In this video, I’m going to discuss the difference between the Seed stitch and the Moss stitch.

Both stitches are reversible.

When you’re looking at the front of your work the Seed stitch looks like this:
K1, P1, K1, P1, K1
P1, K1, P1, K1, P1
So, you’re knitting your purl stitches and purling your knit stitches.

When you’re looking at the front of your work the Moss stitch looks like this:
K1, P1, K1, P1, K1
K1, P1, K1, P1, K1
P1, K1, P1, K1, P1
P1, K1, P1, K1, P1
So, you’re working 2 rows K1, P1 and then 2 rows P1, K1. It’s very similar to the Seed stitch, making it easy to get them confused.

They both offer a great texture!

Which stitch do you prefer?
