DIY Sand Foot Scrub

This sand foot scrub is a super exfoliator!

Which is just what my feet need when I’ve been wearing my flip-flops all summer.

Making the Scrub:

Simply, mix all of the above ingredients. I like simple recipes with only a few ingredients.

However, to kick this up a notch you could add a few drops of Vitamin E and your favorite essential oil.

Use lavender to relax your muscles, tea tree oil to disinfect, lemon oil to detoxify or frankincense to reduce pain and inflammation.

Where to Find the Sand:

Well…. I collected my sand outside, I washed it in hot soapy water and then strained it.

I let it dry out in the sun and then sifted it to get the larger pebbles out of it.

Notes:

Soak your feet in your DIY foot detox bath to relax before scrubbing them.

The soak helps soften and loosen the dead skin before scrubbing it off.

Because this is sand, I don’t recommend pouring it down the sink.

I use the scrub outside and collect it in the tub I soaked my feet in and then pour it all out outside.

I like to follow it up with some homemade lotion using 1 Tablespoon of melted Organic Coconut Oilicon with 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil.
