Pattern, Knit in the Round:

  • CO 28 STS {with an approx. 48″ (122 cm)}, PM, join in the round.
  • CO loosely, making sure your needles slide easily. Too tight of a stitch will make these difficult to knit in the round.
  • The first couple of rounds will be a little tight anyway, but it gets easier as you go.
  • Recount your STS to make sure you have 28. :)
  • Rounds 1-18: *K2, P2* {about 5 1/2″ (14 cm)}, BO, then knit the second the same as the first. :}

Pattern, Knit Flat:

  • CO 28 STS {Approx. 48″ (122 cm) tail}
  • Rounds 1-18: *K2, P2* {Rib stitch for about 5 1/2″ (14 cm), or desired length}
  • BO. Sew up the sides.
  • The top and bottom are the cast-on and bind-off edges, you’ll want to sew the outside edges together.
  • Knit the second the same as the first. :)
