So… I’m looking for organic cotton yarn grown in the USA. I didn’t realize that this would be such a challenge. Logically thinking, we grow cotton in the US, and I believe somewhere in the US someone probably even grows organic cotton.
So, why the challenge? Is it not that desirable? Does Lion Brand just have the market cornered with their line of Lion Brand Natures Choice Yarn?
I don’t know, but I do know that I only found one other place that has organic cotton yarn grown in the USA, and that’s Kollage Yarns, they’re located in Alabama which, by the way, is a great place to find cotton.

The yarn in the photo is Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton Yarn. I just so happened to have some of this yarn left over from a pair of boot cuffs I knitted a few months ago. So, I knitted this scrubby up real quick to wash the dishes. Once it was finished and I felt how fluffy soft it was I rubbed it on my face and decided that it was way too lovely to use for the dishes. I have to say that it’s very soft, so soft in fact, that I would recommend using this on a baby.
