Measurements, before seaming: 27″ wide x 8″ height {68cm x 20cm}
Gauge: 12 STS & 12 rows per 4″ {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Not reversible.
CO edge is the height.
Knit using a cable knit stitch.
This cowl is knit flat, when you’re finished knitting you’ll sew the CO & BO edges together to make it a cowl.

Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth}:
CO 24 STS
All ODD rows {WS}: *P4, K1* P4
All EVEN rows {RS}: K4 *P1, K4*
Except rows divisible by 8 {for example: 8, 16, 24, 32, and so on}: *C4F, P1* C4F
Repeat the above pattern until you have 21 cables.
Repeat the ODD and EVEN rows for 6 more rows and then bind-off in pattern.
Sew the CO and BO edges together.
Weave in the ends.
Blocking helps, but the edges still curl a bit even after blocking.
Abbreviations:
* – * – repeat between *
BO – bind-off in pattern
C4F – cable4front – Transfer 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 2 stitches and then knit the 2 stitches off the cable needle
CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
RS – right side
STS – stitches
WS – wrong side
