Rows 1,3,5,7,9 {WS}: WYIF S1PW, K6, P1, K6, P6, K6, P1, K6, WYIF S1PW

Rows 2,4,6,8   {RS}: K1TBL *K* K1TBL

 

Row 10 {RS}: K1TBL, K13, C6F, K13* K1TBL

Repeat rows 1-10, 4 more times

 

To End:

Row 57 {WS}: BO in all purl STS

 

Weave in the ends.

No blocking necessary.

 

Garter Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth} {Side 2}:

Row 1: WYIF S1PW, K32, WYIF S1PW

Row 2: K1TBL, K32, WYIF S1PW

Repeat rows 1-2, until it matches ‘Side 1’ {approximately 57 rows.}

 

Sew your pillow:

Knit both sides of your pillow. Lay the right sides together, matching the CO edges together. Seam 3 sides, insert your pillow and seam the 4th side. If you want, you can add a zipper to the 4th side, so it’s a pillow cover and easier to wash.

 

Abbreviations:

* – * – repeat between *

BO – bind-off

CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}

C6F – cable6front – transfer 3 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 3 stitches and then knit the 3 stitches off the cable needle

K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}

K1TBL – knit 1 stitch through the back loop

P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}

RS – right side

S1PW – slip one stitch purl-wise

STS – stitches

WS – wrong side

WYIF – with yarn in front
