Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth}:

All ODD rows {WS}: *P4, K1* P4

All EVEN rows {RS}: K4 *P1, K4*

Except rows divisible by 8 {for example: 8, 16, 24, 32, and so on}: *C4F, P1* C4F

Repeat the above pattern until you have 21 cables.

Repeat the ODD and EVEN rows for 6 more rows and then bind-off in pattern.

Sew the CO and BO edges together.

Weave in the ends.

Blocking helps, but the edges still curl a bit even after blocking.

* – * – repeat between *

BO – bind-off in pattern

C4F – cable4front – Transfer 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 2 stitches and then knit the 2 stitches off the cable needle

CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}

K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}

P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}

RS – right side

STS – stitches

WS – wrong side
