Video Yarn Review : Lana Grande by Cascade Yarns

100% Peruvian Highland Wool, Lana Grande by Cascade Yarns

:) Details:

  • Brand : Cascade Yarns
  • Name : Lana Grande
  • Yarn Type : 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
  • Recommended needle size : US 13 (9mm)
  • Gauge : 8-10 sts = 4″/10cm
  • Weight : Category 6, Super Bulky
  • Yardage : 87 yards / 79.5 meters
  • Unit weight : 3.5 oz 100g
  • Scratchy : On a scale of 1-10, this is an 8. It’s a very soft wool, but it’s wool, so it’s a tiny bit itchy. In saying that, I wear this against my skin as a hat and it doesn’t bother me.
  • Squishy : This is nice and squishy and light. Even though it’s a super bulky, it’s not dense creating a lovely fluff to it. It has great stitch definition too!
  • Splitty : I think it knits up nicely. You can see in the video where I grabbed part of a stitch, so I needed to be more careful.
  • Machine wash : The package says you need to hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. It’s delicate.

:) My personal opinion :

  • I really love this yarn!
  • It’s a great super bulky yarn, 100% wool, that will work for all my super bulky patterns.
  • I definitely see myself using this yarn more in the future!
  • If you use this yarn, whether or not you use my pattern, tag me #bromefields so I can see this yarn being used in your finished projects.
