Instructions

Knit flat using straight needles:

  • CO in multiples of 12, plus 8
  • Row 1 (RS): P2 *K2, YO, SSK, P2*
  • Row 2 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Row 3 (RS): P2 *K2, YO, SSK, P2*
  • Row 4 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Row 5 (RS): P2 *C4F, P2, K2, YO, SSK, P2* C4F, P2
  • Row 6 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Row 7 (RS): P2 *K2, YO, SSK, P2*
  • Row 8 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Row 9 (RS): P2 *K2, YO, SSK, P2*
  • Row 10 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Row 11 (RS): P2 *K2, YO, SSK, P2, C4F, P2* K2, YO, SSK, P2
  • Row 12 (WS): K2 *P2, YO, P2TOG, K2*
  • Repeat Rows 1-12, until desired length.

Abbreviations

  • *– * – repeat between *asterisks* to the end of the round
  • CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
  • C4F – cable 4 front – left cable – slip 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 2 stitches off your left-hand needle and then knit the 2 stitches off the cable needle
  • K – knit stitches (example: K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
  • P – purl stitches (example: P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
  • P2TOG – purl 2 stitches together
  • RS - right side row
  • SSK – slip, slip, knit
  • WS - wrong side row
  • YO – yarn overs
