Materials

  • Any Yarn

Instructions

  • CO 10 STS
  • Row 1, 3, 5, 7: *K*
  • Row 2, 4, 6, 8: *K2, P6* K2
  • Row 9 & 11: K7 *S1PW, K2, S1PW, K4* K3
  • Row 10 & 12: K7 *YFWD, S1PW, YBK, K2, YFWD, S1PW, YBK, K4* K3
  • Row 13: K7 *SL3 to DPN and hold in back, K1, SL2 from DPN to LH needle and bring DPN with 1 ST to the front of your work, K2 from LH needle, K1 from DPN, K4* K3
  • Row 14: *K2, P6* K2 (same as row 2}
  • Repeat rows 1-14, until desired length

Abbreviations

  • *– * – repeat between the asterisks
  • CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
  • DPN – Double pointed needle (or cable needle)
  • K – knit stitches (example: K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
  • LH – left hand
  • P – purl stitches (example: P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
  • S1PW – slip 1 purl-wise
  • SL2 – slip 2 stitches
  • SL3 – slip 3 stitches
  • STS – stitches
  • YBK – with the yarn in back
  • YFWD – with the yarn in front
