Materials

  • Any Yarn

Instructions

Knit flat using straight needles:

  • CO in multiples of 8
  • Row 1 (WS): *P*
  • Row 2 (RS): *K*
  • Row 3 (WS): *P*
  • Row 4 (RS): *K*
  • Row 5 (WS): *P*
  • Row 6 (RS): *C8B* (cable row)
  • Row 7 (WS): *P*
  • Row 8 (RS): *K*
  • Row 9 (WS): *P*
  • Row 10 (RS): *K*
  • Row 11 (WS): *P*
  • Row 12 (RS): K4 *C8F* K4 (cable row)
  • Repeat rows 1-12, until desired length

Abbreviations:

  • *– * – repeat between *asterisks* to the end of the round
  • CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
  • C8B – cable 8 back – right cable – slip 4 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the back of your work, knit the next 4 stitches off your left-hand needle and then knit the 4 stitches off the cable needle
  • C8F – cable 8 front – left cable – slip 4 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 4 stitches off your left-hand needle and then knit the 8 stitches off the cable needle
  • K – knit stitches (example: K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
  • P – purl stitches (example: P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
  • RS - right side rows
  • WS - wrong side rows
