Measurements, before seaming: 31″ wide x 7″ height {78cm x 18cm}
Gauge: 10 STS & 18 rows per 4″ {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below
Weight, with buttons: 6.3oz {180g}

 

Notes:

Not reversible, with buttons.
Reversible, without buttons.
The CO edge is the height.
Knit using the garter knit stitch.
This cowl is knit flat, when you’re finished knitting you’ll sew the edges together making it a cowl.
This pattern does not include button holes, the buttons are sewn on top.

 

Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth}:

CO 17 STS

Knit all rows, garter stitch, until you’ve used up 1 skein of yarn.

BO in all knit stitches.

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

I sewed the buttons on top, without creating buttonholes and sewed the CO & BO edges to the long edge on the opposite end, crossing them.
