Needle Size: US 11 {8mm} Circular Needles with a 24″ {60cm} Cable

Details:

Measurements: 12″ width x 18″ height {30cm x 45cm}
Gauge: 12 STS & 12 rounds per 4″ {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below
Weight: 12.2oz {345g}

 

Notes:

Reversible.
CO edge is the circumference.
Knit bottom up or top down.
Knit using the 2×2 rib knit stitch.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.

 

Pattern, Knit in the Round:

CO 72 STS, PM, join in the round.

Rounds 1-55: *K2, P2* {approximately 18″}

Round 56: BO loosely in the K2, P2 pattern

Follow in this pattern on every round until you have enough to bind-off, with a little to spare. I knit about 56 rows.

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

* – * – repeat between *
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
PM – place marker
STS – stitches
