Knit flat, row by row, back & forth:

CO 16 STS
Rows 1, 3, 5: K2 *P* K2
Rows 2, 4: *K*

Row 6: K2, C8B, K6
Rows 7, 9, 11: K2 *P* K2
Rows 8, 10: *K*
Row 12: K6, C8F, K2
Rows 13, 15, 17: K2 *P* K2
Rows 14, 16: *K*
Repeat rows 6-17, 5 more times, or until about 17” {43cm}, or desired length

Last Row: BO in all knit STS

End:
Sew CO & BO edge together.
Weave in the ends.
No blocking necessary.


Knitting Abbreviations

BO – bind-off in pattern
C8B – cable8back {Transfer 4 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the back of your work, knit the next 4 stitches and then knit the 4 stitches off the cable needle}
