Water Bottle Sling Knitting Pattern : Blissful

I received this message “I love your style and have a request pattern… I have been seeing a lot of cute crocheted water bottle slings, but not so cute knit ones. I would like to make a cute knit sling strong enough to hold a Hydro Flask. Watcha think?”
{I love it when y’all make requests!}

My response “That’s a brilliant idea! And right up my alley! I love it! I have a couple of lace knit stitches to try and see if they’ll work. I’ll see if I can finish one in the next couple of weeks.”

I’ve seen lots of water bottle sling patterns, but hadn’t thought about designing my own because I don’t use one. {I didn’t know what I was missing!} I didn’t pay close enough attention to notice that the majority of them were crocheted and I could offer a knitted version, or 10.

I feel like I’ve been remiss and I would like to apologize, “I’m so sorry I didn’t design one before now.” To make up for it I have another design on my needles now. :)

When I was finished with this sling and put it on… I was in love. This is so my style, comfortable and practical. I’ve been totally missing out! There’s a reason why these things are so popular and now I think everyone needs one!

This was a fun quick knit and rewarding, which makes it perfect in my book.

These would make great teacher gifts or if you have a lot of time, and cotton, on your hands you could make one for each kid in the class for field trips.

Notes:

Not reversible.
Knit top down.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.
You can try it on the water bottle as you go.
I knit mine a little smaller than the bottle because it stretches when you wear it.
Pick a soft yarn because it rubs on your neck. {I like the dishie yarn, it’s soft & comfortable to wear, no this isn’t sponsored, it’s just my opinion.}
