Chunky Lace Infinity Scarf Knitting Pattern : Charm

A lovely chunky lace scarf {free} knitting pattern. A lace pattern that knits up quickly!
I originally wanted to knit this scarf length-wise, which is a lot of CO STS. I bit off a little more than I could chew. I CO 141 STS and knitted 4 rows in about 4 hours, restarting too many times to count. Then I realized I already knew how to count to 141, 140 and 142, {I went to kindergarten} depending on how many stitches I was off by and then I stopped the insanity. I decided to knit it from side to side… that was much easier. By row 40 I was comfortable with the pattern and by row 80 I was confident in it. :) One day I might try knitting it length-wise again, but honestly, counting stitches isn’t my thing. I enjoy creating, casting-on, buying yarn, knitting and wearing. I like low-stress & no-stress patterns. :) That’s my thing and I’m sticking to it!

Repeat rows 1-8, 23 more times for a total of 24 repeats, or until desired length.

End on a row 8 and then BO in the K1, P1 pattern.

Wear as a scarf or sew the CO & BO edges to wear as an infinity scarf.

Weave in the ends.

No blocking necessary.

I didn’t block mine, as I’m not a fan of blocking, however a light block would help even out the stitches and a heavy block would bring out the lace.
