Measurements, Finished: 3 1/4″ width x 7 1/2″ length {8cm x 19cm}

Gauge: 4 1/2 STS & 6 rounds per 2″ {5cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Notes:

Not reversible.

Knit from cuff to fingertip.

Knit using the stockinette stitch.

Knit in the round using the magic loop method.

CO 14, split 7 STS per needle, PM, join in the round.

Rounds 1-8: *K*

 

Thumb Gusset:

Round 9: K1, PM, INC1, PM, *K* {1 thumb ST}

Round 10: *K*

Round 11: SM, INC1, K1, INC1, SM, *K* {3 thumb STS}

Round 12: *K*

Round 13: SM, INC1, K3, INC1, SM, *K* {5 thumb STS}

Round 14: *K*

Round 15: SM, INC1, K5, INC1, SM, *K* {7 thumb STS}

Round 16: *K*

Round 17: BO the 7 thumb gusset STS {make sure you only have the original 14 STS remaining}

 

Fingers:

Rounds 18-22: *K*

Round 23: BO loosely in pattern

 

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Knit the second the same as the first.

 

Abbreviations:

* – * – repeat between *

BO – bind-off in pattern

CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}

INC1 – make 1 stitch {I used a backwards loop}

K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}

P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}

PM – place stitch marker

SM – slip stitch marker
