Row 50 {RS}: K40 STS. Put the other 40 STS on a scrap piece of yarn to work later.

Switch to knitting flat, work 1/2 of the bag at a time:

Row 51 {WS}: *P*

Row 52 {RS}: K2TOG *K*  SSK {decrease 2 STS on each row}

Repeat rows 51 & 52 until you have 12 STS remaining

Next row 1: *P*

Next row 2: *K*

Repeat the above 2 rows {stockinette stitch} 5 times

Next row: *P*

BO in all knit STS {or you can save them for later to sew the handles together using the kitchener stitch}

Repeat the above steps for the other handle:

Slip the 40 STS from your scrap piece of yarn onto your needles
