CO 51, 67, 75, 83, 109, depending on the size of blanket you’d like to knit.

Row 1: *K1, P1* K1
Row 2: *P1, K1* P1
Row 3: *P1, K1* P1
Row 4: *K1, P1* K1

Repeat rows 1-4 until you’ve reached your desired length.
BO in pattern and weave in the ends. { I ended on a row 1 and bound-off in row 2 pattern.}

I ended by queen sized blanket when it was 68” long. It hangs off a little on the end and I tuck it under my pillows. If you’d like it to fit over your pillows, you’ll want to make it longer.

No blocking required. :)

This pattern was inspired by Molly Weasley’s blanket in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone and my HUGE pile of left-over yarn.
If you’re looking for a way to use up your left-over yarn, then this is it!
Plus, it’s super easy, so you can knit it up while you binge watch all the Harry Potter movies ;)
That’s what I’d do any way… just sayin’.
Thrifty is the perfect definition for this blanket. Waste not want not.
I’m so glad I found a use for all my left-over yarn! ;)
{and it’s my husbands favorite blanket}
