Beginner Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth}:

  • CO the required number of stitches for the size of blanket you’d like to knit, see Sizes section above.

  • Knit every row, garter stitch, until your desired length.
  •  
  • BO loosely.
  •  
  • Weave in the ends.
  •  
  • Block, if desired.

Advanced Beginner Pattern, Knit Flat {Back & Forth}:

  • {This version gives you a nice clean edge}
  • CO the required number of stitches for the size of blanket you’d like to knit, see Sizes section above.

  • Row 1 {set-up}: WYIF S1PW, *K*, WYIF S1PW
  •  
  • Row 2: K1TBL, *K*, WYIF S1PW
  • Repeat row 2 until desired length.

  • BO loosely.
  •  
  • Weave in the ends.

  • Block, if desired

Abbreviations:

  • * – * – repeat between * to end of round
  • BO – bind-off in pattern
  • CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
  • K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
  • K1TBL – knit 1 stitch through the back loop
  • S1PW – slip one stitch purl-wise
  • STS – stitches
  • WYIF – with yarn in front
