Gauge: 7.5 STS & 11.5 rounds per 4” {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Notes:
Not reversible.
Knit bottom up.
Knit using the rib & stockinette stitch.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.

Pattern, Knit in the Round:
Using US 15 {10mm} circular needles with a 16″ {40cm} cable.
CO 40 STS, PM, join in the round.
Rounds 1-4: *K1, P1*
Switch to size US 17 {12mm} circular needles with a 16” {40cm} cable.
Rounds 5-19: *K* until it measures about 6” {15cm} from CO edge, or desired length.
Note {Optional}:
When the stitches get too tight switch to DPNs or a longer cable and knit using the magic loop method.
Decrease for the crown, Knit In The Magic Loop Method:
Round 20: *K3, K2TOG, PM*
Round 21: *K2, K2TOG, SM*
Round 22: *K1, K2TOG, SM*
Round 23: *K2TOG, remove stitch marker*
End:
Without binding-off, cut the yarn leaving a 10” {25cm} tail, pull it through the remaining STS, push through the top hole to the inside and then weave in the ends.
Block, if desired. {I didn’t block mine.}
