Notes

Not reversible.
CO edge is the height.
Knit using the chevron knit stitch.
This cowl is knit flat, when you’re finished knitting you’ll sew the CO & BO edges together to make it a cowl.

Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
RS – right side
STS – stitches
WS – wrong side

Pattern Instructions

CO 24 STS

Row 1 (RS): *P1, K3*

Row 2 (WS): K1 *P5, K1, P1, K1* P5, K1, P1,

Row 3 (RS): K2 *P1, K3* P1, K1

Row 4 (WS): P2, K1, P1, K1 *P5, K1, P1, K1* P3

Repeat rows 1-4 for 64″, or desired length.

BO in the *P1, K3* pattern.

Sew the CO & BO edges together.

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Modification option:

The sides curl a little bit, so you could add a few stitches to create a border on each side.
