Welcome to Day 10 of the 21 Days of Lace Knit Stitches Series!
Learn how to knit this little rainbow lace knit stitch in the video tutorial below. We’re going to do things a little different today and use 2 decreases back to back!
No new stitches again today, just another way of putting the ones we’ve already learned together in a different combination. I just love watching these little rainbows grow!
Materials:
Size US 13 {9mm} Knitting Needles
Yarn: Lana Grande by Cascade Yarns
Video Tutorial
Pattern, Knit Flat:
CO in multiples of 10 STS
Row 1 {RS}: *YO, K3, K2TOG TBL, K2TOG, K3, YO*
Row 2 {WS}: *P*
Row 3 {RS}: *K1, YO, K2, K2TOG TBL, K2TOG, K2, YO, K1*
Row 4 {WS}: *P*
Row 5 {RS}: *K2, YO, K1, K2TOG TBL, K2TOG, K1, YO, K2*
Row 6 {WS}: *P*
Row 7 {RS}: *K3, YO, K2TOG TBL, K2TOG, YO, K3*
Row 8 {WS}: *P*
Repeat rows 1-8 until desired length.
Tip:
Row 1 increases 2 STS per repeat
Row 3 decreases 2 STS per repeat
This stitch lays nice and flat, so you don’t have to worry about curling.
Increase and decrease on the same row, so the stitch count is the same on all rows.
I’m not a fan of blocking, so I’d probably skip it or lightly block it.
This would make a simple headband or create multiple panels to make a blanket.
