Welcome to Day 15 of the 21 Days of Beginner Knit Stitches Series:
Broken Diagonal Seed Knit Stitch
Materials:
- A Super Bulky Yarn
- {I used Pacific Bulky by Cascade Yarns.}
- Size US 11 {8mm} Knitting Needles
:) Pattern, Knit Flat:
- CO in multiples of 8
- This is not a reversible stitch, see the photos below
- Row 1 = Right side/Front
- For my swatch I CO 24 STS
- Row 0: *P*
- Row 1: *K3, P1, K4*
- Row 2: *P3, K1, P4*
- Row 3: *K5, P1, K2*
- Row 4: *P1, K1, P6*
- Row 5: *K7, P1*
- Row 6: *P*
- Repeat rows 1-6 until desired length.
- If you’re not adding a border, to BO I recommend ending on a row 5 and BO in the row 6 pattern.
- The beginning and ending edges have a tendency to curl, as well as the edges, so I definitely recommend a border on your finished project :)

Abbreviations:
- * – * – repeat pattern
- BO – bind-off in pattern
- CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
- K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
- P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
- STS – stitches
