New FREE Hygge Style Knitting Pattern Series
I’m designing a Hygge series, which is inspired by my UGG blanket, to create peace and coziness.
A little backstory…
Last winter I needed a new blanket. I love gray, so my new blanket had to be gray. I knew I’d have the best luck online, but could I buy a blanket without touching it first? I was skeptical. I found a few gray blankets and read all the reviews and ultimately fell in love with an UGG blanket. I thought they only made boots. Um, no! They make lots of stuff and now I want UGG everything.
I ultimately chose my UGG blanket because of the name. It’s a quality product that I can trust. They’ve been around for a long time and I can not wait to try more of their products.
A few days later I received my blanket. It’s sooo warm and cozy!
I’m always cold, so at the end of the day it feels good to snuggle up in my blankie, it’s my cozy place. I thought it would be nice to have that same feeling throughout the day…. So how can I recreate that feeling?
A month or two later I was shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond looking for some kitchen stuff and there was a fluffy blanket thing sitting on a shelf, out of place. Of course I had to touch it and then I had to snuggle my face in it because it was so soft. It was actually a scarf, so I took mine off and put it on and wore it around the store. It was so warm! It was destiny!
I fell in love with this scarf. I felt a little guilty buying a scarf. I’m a knitter… I’m supposed to knit my own scarves…. but I LOVE this scarf {and it was only $13!}.
Needless to say, I bought it. After a couple of months of loving my scarf and blanket I decided that I needed to knit a blanket scarf that makes me feel warm and cozy… that makes me feel good and proud to wear. {After all, a girl only needs so many blankets.}
I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect yarn and I’ll be designing several blanket scarves to create my perfect blanket scarf.
In this time of uncertainty, I need a simple pattern to keep my hands busy and my mind free.
Knitting is relaxing, meditative and brings me a sense of peace.
My intention & goal with this series is to provide knitting patterns that bring you a sense of peace.
