Gauge

8 STS & 16 rounds per 4″ (10cm) square, knit in the pattern below

Notes

Reversible.
Knit top down or bottom up.
Knit using the seed knit stitch.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round youโ€™re always knitting the right side of your work.

Knitting Abbreviations

*โ€“ * โ€“ repeat between * to end of round
BO โ€“ bind-off in pattern
CO โ€“ cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K โ€“ knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
P โ€“ purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
PM โ€“ place marker
STS โ€“ stitches

Knitting Pattern Instructions

Knit in the Round:
CO 100 STS, PM, join in the round.

All ODD rounds 1-39: *K1, P1*
All EVEN rounds 2-38: *P1, K1*
Round 40: BO loosely in the *P1, K1* pattern

Summary: *K1, P1* for almost 2 whole skeins of yarn and then when you’re close to the end of the yarn bind-off loosely in the *K1, P1* pattern.

Weave in the ends.
Block, if desired.
