Notes:

  • Not reversible.
  • Knit bottom up, however you can wear them either way.
  • Knit using cable knit stitches.
  • Knit in the round with a circular needle.
  • I used HiyaHiya interchangeable needles with 3 1/2″ {9cm} tips.
  • When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.
  • CO loosely, making sure your stitches slide easily. Too tight of a stitch will make these difficult to knit in the round. The first couple of rounds will be a little tight, but it gets easier as you go.

  • Round 4: *K*

  • Round 6-7: *K*
  • Round 8: *C4B, K4*
  • Round 9-10: *K*
  • Repeat rounds 5-10, 2 more times

  • Round 23: *K4, C4F*
  • Round 24-25: *K*
  • Round 26: *C4B, K4*
  • Round 27: *K*
  •  
  • Round 28-29: *K2, P2*
  • Round 30: BO loosely in the K2, P2 pattern

  • Weave in the ends.

  • Knit the second the same as the first.

Abbreviations:

  • * – * – repeat between *
  • BO – bind-off in pattern
  • CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
  • C4B – cable4back {Transfer 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the back of your work, knit the next 2 stitches and then knit the 2 stitches off the cable needle}
  • C4F – cable4front {Transfer 2 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 2 stitches and then knit the 2 stitches off the cable needle}
  • K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
  • KITR – knit in the round
  • P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
  • PM – place marker
  • STS – stitches
