{FREE} Faded Lace Sweater Knitting Pattern : Enthrall
$4.99
I’m so excited about this fall lacy sweater knitting pattern. This started out as a sweater using a single strand of yarn, but the color transitions weren’t quite what I was looking for. I wanted a more subtle color transition and I learned that you need to use multiple strands of yarn, alternating the colors to get the smooth transition. :) So, I decided that a sleeveless sweater with a bit of lace at the top and bottom to make it a little lighter would be perfect for fall.
This is an easy pattern, knit top down, starting out flat and then joining in the round to finish it. No increases or decreases. I took my time on the top lacy sections, so I didn’t have to frog. That section took awhile, but the rest of it, especially when it’s joined in the round, was smooth sailing!
This was a nice knit, not too challenging and not too boring.

You’re done with the first panel. Slip these stitches onto a holder.
Repeat rows 1-38 for Top Panel #2.
Row 39, using 2 strands of yarn, colors 2&3:
Note: In this “row” we’re going to join the front and back and knit in the round from here on out and you’re always working on the right side of your work.
Put the front and back on a 24″ {60cm} cable, with the right side of the work facing you.
It doesn’t matter which side you start with since they’re both the same.
K2TOG {put a removable stitch marker through the first stitch}, knit one side until the last 2 stitches, K2TOG, {you’re reinforcing the arm hole and removing the i-cord edge.}
Repeat for the other side {K2TOG, knit until the last 2 stitches, and then knit those 2 together.} This joins the front and back together in the round.
Place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of your round.
2 STS were decreased on the previous round, so you should have 114 {122, 130, 138, 146, 154} stitches remaining. This is the only decrease in the pattern, and there aren’t any increases, so you should have this number of stitches here on out.
Using 2 strands of yarn, colors 2&3, Knit the next 10 rounds.
Once you get the front and back joined in the round it works up really quick. {My favorite part.}
