Gauge: 18 STS & 27 rounds per 4” {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Notes:

Not reversible.
Knit top to toe.
Knit using the cable & stockinette Stitch.
Knit in the round in the magic loop method.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.

Pattern, Knit in the Round, Magic Loop Method:

CO 36 STS, PM, split 18 per needle, join in the round.

Round 1-4: *K4, P2*

Round 5: *C4F, P2*

Repeat rounds 1-5 twice

Round 11: *K4, P2*

Round 12: *C4F, P2*

Knit all remaining rounds until desired length, minus 4 rounds for the toe.

 

Decrease for the toe:

Round 1: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K14, K2TOG*

Round 2: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K12, K2TOG*

Round 3: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K10, K2TOG*

Round 4: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K8, K2TOG*

 

BO in all knit stitches and seam the toe closed.

OR

Use the kitchener stitch to seam the toe closed.

 

Weave in the ends.

No blocking necessary.

 

Size Alterations:

CO on in increments of 6 to make it wider or narrower.

 

Abbreviations:

* – * – repeat between *
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
PM – place marker
STS – stitches
