Measurements: 7″ W x 5″ {18cm x 14cm}

Gauge: 8.25 STS & 17 rounds per 4″ {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Weight: 2.8oz {80g}

Knit bottom up, however you can wear them either way.

Knit using a 2×2 rib seed knit stitch.

Knit in the round with a circular needle. I used HiyaHiya interchangeable needles with 3 1/2″ {9cm} tips.

When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.

CO loosely, making sure your stitches slide easily. Too tight of a stitch will make these difficult to knit in the round. The first couple of rounds will be a little tight, but it gets easier as you go.

Pattern, Knit in the Round:

CO 28 STS, PM, join in the round

Rounds 1-3: *K2, P2*

Round 4: *P2, K2*

Round 5: *K2, P2*

Repeat rounds 4 & 5, 6 more times, or about 4″ from the beginning

Round 16: P2, K2

Rounds 17-18: *K2, P2*

Round 19: BO loosely in the K2, P2 pattern

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Knit the second the same as the first.

* – * – repeat between *

K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
