Knit in the Round

Knit & Purl Stitches



Yarn Weight: Worsted

Yardage: 135 – 145 yards {123 – 132 meters}

Suggested Yarn: Morehouse Farms 3 Strand Yarn

Needle Size: US 9 {5.5mm} Circular Needles with a 16” {40cm} Cable, or DPNs

Extras: Stitch Marker



Measurements: 7 1/2″ Wide x 13″ {19cm x 33cm}

Gauge: 18.5 STS & 22 rounds per 4” {10cm} square, knit in the pattern below

Knit bottom up.

No decrease for the crown.

Knit using the rib stitch.

Knit in the round with a circular needle.

When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.


Pattern, Knit in the Round:

CO 64 STS, PM, join in the round.

All rounds: *K1, P1* until it measures 13” {33cm} from the beginning.


Without binding-off, cut the yarn leaving a 10” {25cm} tail, pull it through the remaining STS, push through the top hole to the inside and then weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.
