Modification Options

You can knit this as large as you’d like, just keep repeating rows 11-12 until it’s as large as you want.

If you need a stretchier bind-off, try knitting in the *K1, P1* pattern on your last row and then binding off in the *K1, P1* pattern, knitting into the knit stitches and purling into the purl stitches in the previous row.

In my experience, wearing it as a bandana, I don’t want a super stretchy bind-off edge. I want it to fit tightly around my head.

Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of row
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
INC1 – make 1 stitch (I use a backwards loop)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
RS – right side
STS – stitches
WS – wrong side
YO – yarn over
