Notes

Not reversible.
Knit bottom up, however you can wear them either way.
Knit using the stockinette knit stitch.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
I used HiyaHiya interchangeable needles with 3 1/2″ (9cm) tips.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.
CO loosely, making sure your stitches slide easily. Too tight of a stitch will make these difficult to knit in the round. The first couple of rounds will be a little tight, but it gets easier as you go.

Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
KITR – knit in the round
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
PM – place marker
RS – right side
STS – stitches
WS – wrong side

CO 28 STS, PM, join in the round

Rounds 1-15: *K*

Round 16: BO loosely

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Knit the second the same as the first.

CO 28 STS

Row 1-15 (WS): *P* (stockinette stitch)

Row 2-14 (RS): *K* (stockinette stitch)

Row 16: BO loosely

Sew the side edges together

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Knit the second the same as the first.

Modification Options

Add a button, or adornment of your choice :)

If you find that the top and bottom curl too much for your liking, you can *K1, P1* on the first row and BO in the K1, P1 pattern.
