Notes

Reversible.
CO edge is the height.
Knit using the moss knit stitch.
This cowl is knit flat, when you’re finished knitting you’ll sew the CO & BO edges together making it a cowl.

Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
STS – stitches

Pattern Instructions

CO 17 STS

Row 1: *K1, P1* K1

Row 2: *P1, K1* P1 (knit the knits & purl the purls)

Row 3: *P1, K1* P1

Row 4: *K1, P1* K1 (knit the knits & purl the purls)

Repeat rows 1-4 until your scarf measures about 67″, or desired length.

End on a Row 3 and BO in the Row 4 pattern.

Sew the CO & BO edges together.

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.
