Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
RS – right side
RT – Right Twist – knit 2 STS together, without dropping STS from the left needle, knit into the first stitch, slip both STS to the right needle together
STS – stitches
WS – wrong side
YO – yarn over

Row 5 (WS): K1, P1, K1 [*Drop YO, P2*] P1, K1, P1
Row 6 (RS): P1, K1, P1 [*RT, YO, K2, YO* RT, YO] K1, P1, K1
Row 7 (WS): K1, P1, K1 [*Drop YO, P2*] P1, K1, P1 {same as 5}
Repeat rows 4-7, until desired length.

Ending border:
Row 1 (RS): *P1, K1*
