Knit Flat (Back & Forth)
Knit & Purl Stitches
Knit in 1 piece, so there aren’t any seams!
Start out knitting-in-the-round then switch to knitting flat and then switch back to knitting-in-the-round (video tutorial below).

Knitting Abbreviations
*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitch (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
KITR – knit in the round
P – purl stitch (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
PM – place marker
STS – stitches

Shrug Sweater Crop Top Pattern Instructions
CO 30 STS, PM, join in the round.
Rounds 1-2: *K1, P1*
Knit in the round for the next 60 rounds, or desired sleeve length.
Knit flat for the next 70 rows, or desired length for shoulders.
Join in the round again and knit 60 rounds, or length to match the first sleeve.
Ribbing:
On the last round *K1, P1* and then bind-off in the K1, P1 pattern.
Weave in the ends.
Block, if desired.
