Techniques

This is a free & easy sock knitting pattern knit on circular needles using the magic loop method. The best part of knitting the stockinette stitch in the round is that there aren’t any purl stitches! Just keep knitting.

Notes

Reversible.
Knit top to toe.

S1PW – slip one stitch purl-wise
STS – stitches

Knitting Pattern Instructions

CO 24 STS, PM, split 12 STS per needle, join in the round.

Round 1: *K*

Repeat round 1 for 17″ {43cm} from CO edge, or desired length.

Decrease for toe:

Round 1: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K8, K2TOG*

Round 2: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K6, K2TOG*

Round 3: *S1PW, K1, PSSO, K4, K2TOG*

BO in all knit stitches.

Seam the toe closed.

I turned mine inside out to wear.

You can wear it with the knit side out if you like the vertical lines.

Weave in the ends.

Block, if desired.

Knit the second the same as the first.

Size Alterations:

For a narrower foot, CO fewer STS, in any increment.
