16 STS & 24 rounds per 4” (10cm) square, knit in the pattern below

Measurements: 5 1/2″ Wide x 15 1/2″ (14cm x 37cm)

Notes
Not reversible.
Knit bottom up, however you can wear them either way.
Knit using the rib & broken rib knit stitches.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.
Knitting Abbreviations
*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
K2TOG – knit 2 stitches together
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
PM – place marker
STS – stitches

CO 44 STS, PM, join in the round
Rounds 1-5: *K1, P1*, approx. 1” (3cm)
Round 6: *K*
Round 7: *K1, P1*
Repeat rounds 6-7 for 14 1/2” (36cm) from the beginning, or desired height.
Next round: *K*
Next 4 rounds: *K1, P1*, approx. 1” (3cm)
Last rounds: BO, in the K1, P1 pattern.
End:
Weave in the ends.
No blocking necessary.
Knit the second the same as the first.
