Video

This is a quick video to show you how I switch from my interchangeable needles to smaller straight needles.

The smaller needle creates a tighter stitch, which helps hold up your leg warmers :)

If you’re having a hard time keeping your leg warmers up, I highly recommend trying this on your next pair!

Here’s another video using this same technique with contrasting colors, it’s a little easier to see how it comes together:

I’m happy with the results! It’s almost completely seamless and there’s no bulge where it comes together making it reversible!

Knitting Abbreviations

BO – bind-off in pattern

Knitting Pattern Instructions

CO 40 STS

Rows 1-5: *K2, P2*, approx. 1” (3cm)

Rows 6 and up: Knit in garter stitch to desired length, minus 1” (3cm)

Next 4 rows: *K2, P2*
Optional: Switch to size US 5 (3.75mm) needles to get a tighter stitch to help keep them up.

Last row: BO, loosely, in the K2, P2 pattern, this will give it some elasticity.

End:

Sew side edges together, not the CO & BO edges.

Weave in the ends.

No blocking necessary.

Knit the second the same as the first.
