Details

Measurements: 3 1/2″ x 7″ (10cm x 18cm)
Gauge: 18 STS & 18 rounds per 3″ (8cm) square, knit in the pattern below

Sizes

S/M : 13-15″ (30 – 38cm) Calf Circumference (90 – 100 yards) (83 – 92 meters)
M/L : 15-17″ (38 – 43cm) Calf Circumference (150 – 160 yards) (137 – 146 meters)

Notes

Not reversible.
Knit bottom up, however you can wear them either way.
Knit using the cable knit stitch.
Knit in the round with a circular needle.
When knitting in the round you’re always knitting the right side of your work.
If you don’t have a 9″ cable, you can use a 24″ cable, or longer and knit using the magic loop method.

Knitting Abbreviations

*– * – repeat between * to end of round
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on (long-tail cast-on method)
C6F – cable6front (Transfer 3 stitches to a cable needle and hold it in the front of your work, knit the next 3 stitches and then knit the 3 stitches off the cable needle)
INC1 – make 1 stitch (I use a backwards loop)
K – knit stitches (K1 means to knit 1 stitch)
KITR – knit in the round
P – purl stitches (P2 means to purl 2 stitches)
P2TOG – purl 2 stitches together
PM – place marker
S1PW – slip one stitch purl-wise
ST – stitch
STS – stitches
