Welcome to Day 5 of the 21 Days of Beginner Knit Stitches Series:
Knit ‘n Purl Ridge Knit Stitch

Video:

Music by Ben Sound

Materials:

Needles: US 13 {9mm}
Yarn: Blue Sky Fibers Bulky

Pattern, Knit Flat:

CO in multiples of 4
This is not a reversible stitch, see the photos below
Row 2 = Right side/Front

For my swatch I CO 16 STS

Row 1: *K*
Row 2: *P1, K3*
Row 3: *P3, K1*
Row 4: *P1, K3*
Repeat rows 1-4 until desired length.

If you’re not adding a border, to BO I recommend ending on a row 3 and BO in the row 4 pattern.

This stitch isn’t a “reversible” stitch in the true sense of the word, but the back is just as pretty as the front!

Abbreviations:

* – * – repeat pattern
BO – bind-off in pattern
CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}
K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}
P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}
STS – stitches
