- Size US 11 {8mm} needles
- About 35-45 yards of a super bulky yarn
- {I used Cascade Lana Grande Yarn.}

Pattern {Swatch with Border}:
- CO 15 STS
- Row 0: K2 *P* K2 {wrong side}
- Row 1: K2, K3 *P1, K3* P1, K3
- Row 2: K2 *P* K2
- Row 3: K2 *K3, P1* K5
- Row 4: K2 *P* K2
- Repeat rows 1 – 4 until desired length
Pattern {Swatch without Border}:
- CO in multiples of 4 +3 {examples: 18, 35, 51}
- Row 0: *P* {wrong side}
- Row 1: K1 *P1, K3* P1, K1
- Row 2: *P*
- Row 3: *K3, P1* K3
- Row 4: *P*
- Repeat rows 1 – 4 until desired length
Abbreviations:
- * – * – repeat pattern
- CO – cast-on {long-tail cast-on method}*
- K – knit stitches {K1 means to knit 1 stitch}*
- P – purl stitches {P2 means to purl 2 stitches}*
- STS – stitches
